This Gewiss earth leakage protection device is an earth leakage circuit breaker with integrated overcurrent circuit breaker.
The earth leakage circuit breaker interrupts supply to the underlying electrical groups immediately if current leaks to ground. The overcurrent circuit breaker protects the connected electrical group against overload. If too much current flows through the overcurrent circuit breaker, it will switch itself off (trip).
