Wicu pipes are soft red copper pipes with a PE conduit to protect them from weather influences and external damage. Soft red copper pipes can be used for the installation and repair of piping systems. These pipes are suitable for (drinking) water pipe systems and gas pipe systems because they have been awarded the Kiwa and Gastec QA quality marks. We supply Wicu pipes by the roll.
Description
This Wicu red copper pipe has an outer diameter of 22 mm. The wall thickness is 1.1 mm, so the inner diameter is 19.8 mm. This Wicu copper pipe can be ordered by the metre or in roll lengths of maximum 25 metres.
Fittings
Piping systems with red copper pipes are installed using solder and/or compression fittings. When connecting these pipes, we recommend first inserting a support sleeve into the pipe. The support sleeve provides extra strength to prevent the copper pipe from being pressed too far during crimping, as that could result in the connection not being sealed properly.
Tools
Wicu red copper pipes are so soft that they can be bent by hand. We recommend not bending them too far, to avoid kinks. Various tools are used to install these pipes. These include pipe cutters, soldering tools etc.
