Description
The Gardena rain barrel pump, type 4000/1, is a powerful pump with low power consumption. The pump can be placed in a rain barrel, so you can use collected rainwater to water the garden.
This robust pump has a housing of glass fibre reinforced plastic and a stainless steel shaft, making it lightweight. The rain barrel pump has a float switch to protect the pump from damage caused by running dry.
The switch-on and switch-off levels can be set manually as desired. The switch can also be set to continuous operation, allowing the rain barrel to be emptied to a residual water level of only 5 mm.
Rainwater is drained through the aluminium telescopic tube; this can be adjusted to between 615 and 815 mm and drains the collected water over the edge of the barrel without blockages or leaks.
The flow capacity can be adjusted or the water drainage can be stopped completely using the control valve supplied. The integrated fine-mesh filter prevents blockages caused by small particles of dirt and is easy to remove and clean.
Thanks to its narrow diameter, the pump can be used in 150 mm openings.
The pump has a maximum capacity of 4 m³/hour and a maximum head of 13 metres at a pressure of 1.3 bar.
