Description

This TECElogo AKB pipe, also known as a multilayer pipe, is used in drinking water and central heating installations. The pipe is especially ideal for use in underfloor heating, where flexibility and long-term exposure to higher temperatures are important.

In addition to this multi-layer pipe, the TECElogo range includes various other couplings, such as:
  • Supply pipes.
  • Elbow pieces.
  • T-pieces.

  • Tools.

Properties

The TECElogo pipe has a maximum operating temperature of 70 °C and a maximum pressure of 10 bar for drinking water and heating systems.

Material

The TECElogo pipe consists of multiple pipe layers. The inner layer is made of PE-RT plastic, which ensures that the pipe is easy to bend. The intermediate layers consist of an adhesive layer, with the aluminum making the pipe oxygen-tight. The outer layer consists of a protective coating of PE-RT.

Assembly

To assemble the multi-layer pipe, you can use the handy toolbox which includes a pipe cutter, calibration, and chamfering tools. Since the TECElogo system uses push-fit fittings, no special pressing tools are required.

The assembly of the pipe goes in a few steps:
  • Cut the pipe to size and deburr the ends to prevent any damage to the pipe.
  • Insert the pipe into the coupling and check through the inspection window to ensure the pipe is inserted far enough into the fitting.
  • The clamp ring inside the coupling creates a secure connection, with the O-rings providing the seal.
  • Made the wrong connection? Use the disassembly spanner to dismantle the connection.
After assembling, the system should be checked for tightness.
