Description

This TECElogo end cap, also known as blind plug, is used in a heating system and features an air venting option. The coupling is quick and easy to install thanks to the push-fit system.

The advantage of PPSU is that it is lightweight, impact-resistant, and resistant to high pressure and temperatures. Moreover, since metal has been used, the coupling is resistant to corrosion. This ensures a long lifespan.

Properties

The TECElogo insert coupling has a maximum operating temperature of 70°C and a maximum pressure of 10 bar for drinking water and heating systems.

Assembly

To assemble the fitting, you can use the handy toolbox which includes a pipe cutter, calibration, and chamfering tools. Since the TECElogo system uses push-fit fittings, no special pressing tools are required.

The assembly of the coupling goes in a few steps:
  • Cut the pipe to size and deburr the ends to prevent any damage to the pipe.
  • Insert the pipe into the coupling and check through the inspection window to ensure the pipe is inserted far enough into the fitting.
  • The clamp ring inside the coupling creates a secure connection, with the O-rings providing the seal.
  • Made the wrong connection? Use the disassembly spanner to dismantle the connection.
After assembling, the system should be checked for tightness.
